Tribute To Ace Barnes

This is a video of Ace Barne's funeral put together by his family. My old friend Bud Curtis, now with Cudd Pressure Control gave much of the ulogy. I could not be there in Odessa that day and I am sorry for that. Deeply. I spoke to Ace's daughter, sent flowers and Bud did a really good job and did James Tuppen who went on many jobs with Ace. I found this the other day rumaging thru old stuff, this was the evening of my big presentation at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum in 1992, when Ace was the honorary guest and on his very best behavior. Look how daper he was.

About an hour later we went to a wine shop somewhere in Odessa and got twisted off, big time. Ace knew everybody in the joint and kept telling me to buy everybody drinks. I think my Amex bill at the end of the evening was $500 bucks.
