I've been in business for myself for 49 years; the only people I have ever worked for besides drilling contractors as a kid, were my family, my working interest partners and Boots Hansen and Coots Matthews. I've been thru nine different US presidents as a self-employed working man and this fella Biden is the absolute worse I have EVER endured regarding domestic energy policy. Hands down.
He is very anti-oil, pro-renewable energy, allows 4 MM BOPD of valuable American tight oil to be exported to foreign countries, is draining the Strategic Petroleum Reserve like he pulled the plug on a bathtub and is now whining about OPEC cutting its production before November midterms, actually threatening it with retaliation.
“We are still going to be having to make asks of these countries when we need more oil,” Helima Croft, head of global commodity strategy for RBC Capital Markets, said at an Oct. 12 Columbia University energy conference. “Who’s going to be sitting on spare capacity? It’s going to be a small number of Gulf producers and a handful of national oil companies that continue to invest on a really big scale. That means we’re going to have to continue to have dialogue with these countries.”
America is now paying the price for decades of poor energy leadership, Republican and Democrat alike, oil price volatility, no additional refineries that can actually absorb light, tight oil and short sighted foreign policies using the last of our nation's natural resources. We've been teetering on the edge for a long time and this administration is driving us off the cliff.
