When both Art and the EIA are saying the same thing, we've hit the big time. Except EIA is water dropping it and saying it'll be 2026 for the plateau, not this year. Fascinating lesson in how to manage information flow. So now what? Drilling won't fix this, and they can't solve the water problem with "data management".

I am aware that Mike does not like political posts but still I am going out on the limb to educate about the Greenland issue . Mike is free to delete .
'' Greenland PM is ready to talk to Trump, from RT.
Yes, rightio, imho the right move.
The MSM and some commentators are super confused.
Greenland (G) is NOT part of the EU.
It left in1985 after a referendum.
Roughly, outpost North West of the European Continent: Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Faroe Islands, are not part of the EU. (UK now also, and Jersey and Guernsey were never a part either.)
Yet, G is a ‘full’ member of NATO and of the Coucil of Europe.
The reasons for G not signing on to the EU, concern mostly fishing rights, shipping (i.e. the SEA legislation in general), labor laws, and more.
(Note, the EU has supported G financially, very massively. Like survival funds…)
“The desire for independence, the wish to be in one’s own house, is probably understood by all people in the world,” Egede said. “We do not want to be Danish, we do not want to be Americans, we want to be Greenlandic.” – from article
A nice sentiment, but G can’t defend itself and has now to be dependent on some World Power.
One poll in 2024 (before the recent upheavals) showed that Greenlanders were ready to join the EU.
From Wiki, imho correct.
“The Brexit debate has reignited talk about the EU in Greenland, and there have been calls for the island to rejoin the Union.[14] In 2024 an opinion poll found that 60 percent of Greenland’s population would vote in favour of re-joining the EU, an increase from 2021 where only 40 percent were in favour.”

That is all over now, and I wouldn’t be at all suprised if G so to speak went its own way, looking to its own advantage, etc. which might speedily be, going Trumpy. Imho that is why there is rhetoric about leaving ‘Denmark’ (to put it briefly), becoming ‘independent’ (which afaik G can do within Int’l law with a referendum, but I might be mistaken about that.''

I think we are already there - this is the outgoing Admin's way of saying "gotcha" to the new crew. Exxon's latest chart is more like what the decline rate could look like. Talk about ripping off the bandaid.
